As part of the adaptive reuse strategy, retaining the building’s character was very essential, This was achieved by preserving its original color scheme. Structural repairs began with a detailed survey, including non-intrusive and limited intrusive methods, revealing damage primarily due to rusted reinforcement bars from a poor concrete mix, insufficient cover, or mechanical damage. The structure was fully exposed and temporarily supported as damaged rebars were replaced. To prevent further rust, all reinforcement bars, both new and existing, were coated with anti-corrosion paint.
