Power Shifts is a photographic installation that examines the material consequences of Lebanon’s economic collapse through aerial views of Beirut’s rooftops. Focusing on the widespread adoption of solar panels, the work explores the relationship between the built environment, energy systems, and social conditions. The installation presents horizontally arranged photographs on pedestals, simulating an aerial perspective of the city. By treating solar panels as contemporary artefacts, the project frames them not as representations of crisis, but as material embodiments of it, revealing the lived impact of economic breakdown on urban life.
