EARTH TO EARTH draws on the collective memory embedded in material, using mud composed of earth and water as a medium to explore dualities of permanence and impermanence, solidity and fluidity, life and death. The installation reflects on cycles of creation, dissolution, and return. Two curved mudbrick walls form a semi-enclosed, sheltering space that embodies these opposing states. Visitors are invited to move around or enter the structure, engaging through pause and reflection. A wooden deck, seating, and the sound of recited poetry deepen the contemplative experience, situating the work within a liminal space between memory and imagination.
