Archive: The Work of Alan Vaughan-Richards by Ola Uduku and Michael Collins presents the legacy of Nigerian-British architect Alan Vaughan-Richards (1925–1989) through the fragile drawings and materials left in his Lagos Island home. The installation reconfigures the spaces of his house, drawing office, and educational thinking to reveal an adaptive architectural practice shaped by climate, culture, and everyday life in late-20th-century Lagos. Incorporating soundscapes of 1970s Lagos, textiles, printed canvas, and indigo-dyed cotton, the project reflects Vaughan-Richards’ integration of indoor and outdoor space.
